Hey there shutterbug!

As some of you may have already noticed I've added a link (found on the left-hand side) to my Flickr photo album.

I take my camera EVERYWHERE. It probably started in the womb when my dad gave half his genes to me. I've always loved and appreciated photography but when he placed his old Sony digital in my hands, a few years ago, it kicked the urge to take photos into high gear.

Then, in Christmas 07, he gave me his Nikon D50 (don't worry, he's moved on to bigger and better cameras) the camera and I became inseparable. I've been taking it everywhere we've gone and almost always have it within easy reach at home just in case a photo-op arrises.

I can't speak to you about cameras. I can't get into a discussion about different lenses, or techniques or give you all the technical terms that a real photography-buff could. But I love my camera, I love taking pictures with it and I especially love sharing them.

There have been several occassions when folks have asked me to take pictures of their kids, themselves, their new home, their dogs and their family. And I've always been flattered to know that the photos have been hung up, sent out or even just put on their computer desktop.

So I've posted some of my favourites in a Photo Album via Flickr (again, the link came be found on the left), that you are more than welcome to visit as many times as you want. They will mostly be photos taken at events or trips that we attend; I'll post "everyday" pictures here on this site. I will only be posting a set amount of pictures at a time then I will "cycle out" the old ones to make room for new. I'll try to leave the old ones there for at least a month to give you a chance to view them. And, of course, I'll be posting pictures here.

So, please enjoy . . . and I welcome you into our little neck of the world.
