Shutterbug

This morning Gordon gave me an early Christmas present: A year's subscription to Shutterbug Magazine!

While I might need a dictionary to understand some of the terms, I'm very excited with this first issue and am excited about all the things that I might learn.

I'm obviously an avid hobbyiest, but am always looking for ways to improve. So far I've only skimmed through it (mostly while I wait for my editing window to load) but already look forward to devouring as much information as I can.

I wonder where I turned the corner from simply loving my camera, to loving it enough to warrant a magazine subscription to fuel my interest from my (obviously observant) husband.

Could it be when the ache in my shoulder started . . . from carrying around the Nikon so often. . .
. . . or maybe it's when I started gawking at the lenses on the cameras of the field photographers during football games. . .
. . . or when I, typically nervous around storms, willingly stood outside to try to snap photos of lightning. . .
. . . or when I leave our dogs unattended in the front yard, run inside frantically, so I can grab the camera to get shots like these (which you can click on for the original size):

Whenever it happened, I'm happy to have it now.
Thank you Gordon!!
