Care2.com is a social networking site. But this isn't your atypical social site where one can simply keep up with what your friends are doing. This is a social networking site whose aim is to connect activists from around the world.
At 10 million members strong their aim is to make the world a better place by giving the a forum to connect people with other individuals, organizations, foundations and causes that will help make an impact.
It is an AMAZING website.
There are online petitions to sign, click-to-donate races and free-cards that generate donations when used (just to name a few).
All your passions can now be found, and organized, in one place; there are guidelines as to how you can help (and often it's nothing more than writing a letter, signing a petition or clicking a link to generate a sponsor-driven donation).
You can find like-minded individuals, no matter what your cause.
But amidst all the letter-writing campaigns and petitions, there is real information about wellbeing tips and new stories - both mainstream and those that fly just under the radar.
Spending a mere five minutes on the website makes me feel optimistic, inspired, renewed and (on some small level) involved.
