Give The People What They Want

I like to think that I have better-than-average photographic intuition. I love trying different angles and different exposures. With every shot I try to capture people, places and animals at their most beautiful, most flattering, most interesting and most natural.

And yet this photo, taken using the "auto" setting on my camera, is my most popular photo on my Flickr site by far (it's Finnegan in his Hot Dog costume):
